Brendan Regano · 2026-02-08 04:51:02As the title says there should be a complete prison / jail systems overhaul. You may be asking what does this mean.
- Tweak the PD jail cell area. Get ride of one wall of cells and replace it with a Kitchen and a work shop. Here prisoners are able to wittle down their time by cooking food ( also a way to get food in jail) and serving it to either other players or an NPC. The workshop will let players craft make shift items such as make shift shank or make shift lock pick to try and escape Jail, If a guard catches the inmate they are sent to a solitary confinement room.
-Escape routes. I touched on this a little bit above but include ways to try and escape the PD whether its like i stated above or something like trying to unscrew a vent cover and crawling through vents to escape on the roof. Theres a few different ways that you could make escape routes, have them be on a cool down as well that it can only be opened every 10-15 minutes unless the inmates are going through all the main doors.
- Entirely new Prison, Out near Woogong currently sits a factory that isnt used very often with alot of realestate. With a bit of tweaking you could also just turn this into the HQ for PD in woogong. Anyway back to my point a entirely new prison where inmates are sent after charged. This will create alot of RP being able to run around in actual prison system especially if Police & Or Prison guards were brought in to defend the prison and keep the inmates in check. Like above Workshop to try and break out Kitchne for working off time but with a bigger prison these systems could be expanded on to include more requirements to craft items. You could also have the prison be where repeat offenders are sent to spend their jail time (Someone who has been charged with mulitple violent crimes in a 7 day period)
All in all currently being arrested most people just tab out and spend their jail sentence their isnt any prison role play besides when you are being brought in by pd. Including this in the server would allow there to One be more jobs being prison security but also making it so theres something to when arrested instead of rotting for 20 minutes.
I already am thinking about having a separate prison area, this will come way down the line however and is a long way away.
Realistically with the constraints of new exton edits a fully fleshed out prison that's actually good is a bit unrealistic and from a mapping standpoint there are other things I'd rather work on for civs, such as more general real estate for businesses and more property options in general.
